Early Morning Backup NEMT Driver

Are you an early riser looking to earn extra income before most people start their day?
I’m looking for a dependable 1099 subcontractor to provide backup coverage for an established Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) route contracted through Richwood Transport. You’ll know the route, passengers, and expected compensation before leaving home — no waiting for ride requests or wondering where your next trip will take you.
THE ROUTE
This is an established route — not on-demand or rideshare driving. You’ll transport the same passengers to one appointment location in Onalaska and then return them home.
Approximate morning pickups:
• Camp Douglas — 4:20 AM
• Tomah — 4:40 AM
• Sparta — 5:00 AM
• Arrive in Onalaska — 5:30 AM
The route takes approximately 2 hours from first passenger pickup to final passenger drop-off. Your total time will depend on where you live.
COVERAGE NEEDED
• Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• Additional weekdays as needed
• Occasional holiday coverage
• Flexible availability preferred — ideally available for backup coverage 7 days a week
This does not mean you will work seven days a week. This is a backup/fill-in position, and the amount of available work will vary.
COMPENSATION
Route pays $125–$200+/ day, based on the passengers actually transported. Direct deposited every Friday.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• Age 21+
• Valid driver's license and qualifying driving record
• Reliable SUV or minivan (10 years old or newer)
• Seating for at least 5 adult passengers
• Current vehicle insurance
• Smartphone
• Must successfully complete Richwood Transport's required credentialing and approval process
No medical experience is required, and there is no hands-on patient care or heavy lifting. This is a 1099 subcontractor opportunity. You provide your own vehicle and are responsible for fuel, insurance, maintenance, taxes, and other operating expenses.
